The Grada de Animación stand at Mestalla will remain closed for the games on Matchdays 2 and 3 of the LaLiga EA Sports season, in which Valencia CF will play against UD Las Palmas and CA Osasuna.
The club have received communication that the requested precautionary measure will not be resolved until September, after the two matches pending the sanction, which will be held on August 18th and 27th, respectively.
The appeal is expected to be resolved in the coming months, and as such there will be no immediate change and fans will not be allowed access to the Grada Jové, despite the attempts made by the legal services for the defence of Valencia CF and the fans from the moment the sentence was delivered.
As a result of the incidents that occurred in the match against Real Madrid on May 21st, the Competition Committee decided to impose a sanction on Valencia CF by closing the Grada de Animación for five games and applying a financial penalty of 45,000 euros.
After the appeal carried out by Valencia CF, the Appeals Committee reduced the sanction to three games and the fine to 27,000 euros, a punishment that the club continue to consider unfair and that, despite the subsequent rejection by the CAS, has not changed the defence of Valencia CF an iota.
The Grada de Animación was closed for the last game of last season at Mestalla, against RCD Espanyol, and Valencia CF -with two more games remaining for the sanction to be complied with at the beginning of the season- decided to go one step further with their defence and file an appeal before the courts.
The administrative court dismissed the claim, alleging that the damage caused to the club with this sanction is solely financial.
Valencia CF deeply regret that our fans cannot support the team from the Grada de Animación.
